SUMMARY

Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) belongs to the genus Letivirus in the family Retroviridae and is the causative agent of Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS), which is classified into type 1 and type 2 depending on the genetic origin of the virus. The main transmission routes of HIV are sexual contact transmission, blood transmission and mother-to-child transmission. 1-2 weeks atier HIV infection, the first viral marker in the blood is the core protein p24, and it takes 1-2 months for the virus to produce specific antibodies, so the simultaneous detection of HIV antibody and HIV p24 antigen can shorten the window period, which is important for clinical detection

Test procedure

1.Take the test device out of aluminum foil bag, place it on a flat tabletop and properly mark the sample.

2.For serum and plasma samples, take 2 drops and add them to the spiked wells;

  for whole blood samples, take 2 drops and add them to the spiked wells, then add 1 drop of sample diluent.

3.Result should be read within 20-25 minutes. Test result will be invalid atier 25 minutes.
