When testing positive samples, Ebola virus antibodies in serum or plasma is bound with Ebola antigen which coupled with colloidal gold (IL-NP-Ag) ,immune complexes is formed, These complexes move on the nitrocellulose membrane by capillary action toward the test line region, and react with Ebola antigen (GST-NP-Ag) forming "Au-Ebola-Ag-Ebola-Ab-Ebola-Ag" to produce a pink color on the membrane. The remaining Ebola antigen which coupled with colloidal gold bound with rabbit anti-Ebola-Ab at control line produce a pink color on the membrane, when detecting negative samples, there no Ebola virus antibody in serum or plasma, immune complexes can't be formed, only the control line will be visible.
